Power Advisory Adds Andrew Kinross to its Team

Power Advisory LLC, a leading North American management consulting firm that specializes in electricity sector matters and solutions, is pleased to announce the addition of Andrew Kinross as Director based in Boston. Andrew will be augmenting the leadership team at Power Advisory,helping to grow the firm’s business across the US and Canada.

“We’re excited to bring Andrew on board with his extensive experience in renewable energy, particularly in solar and wind, and many other emerging energy technologies such as energy storage, microgrids and EVs” said John Dalton, President of Power Advisory.

Prior to Power Advisory, Andrew spent 15 years in the Energy Practice at Navigant Consulting, where he helped build the renewables and Distributed Energy Resources businesses, which consistently grew throughout his tenure. Andrew worked mostly in North America but his consulting work also took him across Europe, Asia and the Middle East where he worked on several of the firm’s largest international assignments.

Prior to Navigant, Andrew worked at the global management consulting firm Arthur D. Little in the Technology & Innovation Management and Strategy Practices.

Andrew has worked with investors, developers, IPPs, utilities, manufacturers, and government agencies across the US and Canada. His prior engagements have included market assessment, growth strategy, business model development and go-to-market planning, commercial and technical due diligence of power/utility assets and companies, power procurement, regulatory support and analysis, and R&D management. From an industry/technology perspective, he has experience in solar, wind, energy storage, energy efficiency, EVs, microgrids, and energy services companies (ESCOs).

Three Other Recent Hires In addition to Andrew, Power Advisory announces three other recent hires including Michael Killeavy, Bharathi Esakkimuthu and Nathan Lev.

Michael is an Executive Advisor with Power Advisory. He is the former Director, Contract Management at the OPA/IESO Michael was responsible for the entire ~30,000 portfolio of OPA/IESO generation contracts as well as the Energy Support programs. Since joining Power Advisory he has advised clients on contractual and commercial matters, undertaken due diligence for investors, prepared financial models for power projects, advised clients on integrating contracts into markets in Ontario. Michael has a B.A. Sc. from the University of Toronto and M.Eng. degree in civil engineering from McMaster University, an M.B.A. from McMaster University and an Honours LL.B. from Nottingham Law School in the UK.

Bharathi is an electricity market analyst and senior consultant with expertise in the Northeast US markets. Her experience includes work in both wholesale and retail power markets with clients from both regulated and private organizations. Bharathi has a B.E. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University and an M.S in Technology Systems Management from Stony Brook University.

Nathan is an electricity sector management consultant with a broad focus providing research and support in areas of business strategy, regulatory matters, policy development, market design, and procurement. Prior to joining Power Advisory LLC, Nathan graduated with dual degrees in Law and Master of Environmental Studies from Osgoode Hall Law School and York University.
